Managing Log Files

After an experiment has been run, the resulting data log file is stored on the EV3 Brick. Click Upload (shown below) to open the Data Log File Manager.

Upload: Upload your collected datasets from the EV3 Brick to the Graph area and Dataset Table
Use the Data Log File Manager to view the datasets created by an experiment. The Data Log File Manager will only show Experiment and dataset files.
Tips and Tricks
A new dataset is created every time an experiment is run, each with its own unique filename. For example, if the experiment is called reaction_time, the datasets will be named reaction_time.rdf, reaction_time1.rdf, reaction_time2.rdf, and so on.
Device Selector: Select a tab to view the EV3 Brick Memory, SD Card Memory or your Computer memory.
List of dataset files in the selected memory device.
Graphical preview of the selected datalogging file.
Import: Import the datalogging file into the Graph area.
Delete: Delete the selected datalogging file.
Delete All: Deletes all log files on the selected memory device.
Select the datalogging file you wish to view in the Graph area. Click Import to open the file in the Graph area. See Dataset Table for more information about viewing your dataset
Saving and importing datasets to the computer
Datasets are automatically saved as part of your Project. If you want to store your dataset separately, you can save a dataset to the computer. Use the Project Properties Page to upload the dataset to the computer. When you wish to retrieve the dataset for use in a different Project, use the Project Properties Page to download the dataset from the computer into the Project.
